There is a Goddess within every woman, but sometimes she is on such strong lockdown that even we don't know she exists. As women, we often try to suppress anything that makes us appear in ways that we don't feel we should, like not wanting to appear to sexy if we are mothers, or strong if our strength may intimidate someone else, or weak if our family needs us to lead. What we need to understand is that the key to achieving greatness is in honoring that spark of the Divine that exists within us, not in ignoring it and hoping it will go away. Our greatest gift is in expressing that which our heart aches to explore. It is in living according to our passion, but how I find my true passion, you ask? Let's start with some ways to tap into your inner Goddess.

1- Physical Expressiveness. Dance. Movement of any sort that helps you to feel like a natural woman. Sacred movement, belly dance, yoga or even just twirling around your living room helps you to release tensions that block your ability to hear your inner voice. It puts you back in touch with your intuitive self and helps you to break through your genetic & past life blocks so you can stop repeating your mother's patterns or any patterns from previous incarnations.

2- Emotional Expressiveness. Cry. Laugh. Grieve. Write poetry. Paint. Do whatever it takes to express your emotions, even the dark ugly ones, in fact especially the dark ugly ones. Giving space to be your whole self, without judgment or limitation is essential to healthy self expression. If you feel angry but have no where to put your anger, get a journal, write your emotions out of your system. Emotions lying dormant and locked inside will only suffocate your Goddess.

3- Mental Expressiveness. Talk, talk, talk! Many women find their greatest answers through spilling their thoughts out to friends and suddenly hitting that "AHA!" If you don't have an adequate network of friends to talk to, get a therapist, or use a voice recorder and literally talk to yourself. You'll find how sane you become by doing something as seemingly crazy as talking to yourself, but you can find answers to almost anything in your life by talking it out until it starts to make sense. If talking is just not an option, then writing is a great second. Keep a journal. Writing letters to people who have hurt you so you can forgive them, or writing letters to yourself as though you were your own best friend, offering encouragement and support and words of wisdom to carry yourself through rough spots. These are all great ways to clearing negative thoughts & mental patterns, allowing for you to find your Truth, which us ALWAYS a positive.

4- Spiritual Expressiveness. Prayer. Meditation. Rituals. Blessings. Any act you take that will help you achieve connection to the Greater Good. There is a life force that flows through all of us, whether you call it "God" or "The Light" or whatever you call it, it is the same thing. It is the energy that connects us to our true nature, helps us to see the big picture and puts our experiences in perspective. It unfolds our lessons and gives us all the wisdom we need to live according to our soul's urging. We have access to everything we ever need to know, if we just access our connection to the Divine, which is really just the divinity that exists within us already.

Taking concrete steps every day, even if only for a few moments, will help you uncover and define your Inner Goddess. Creating and customizing your own personal plan for finding your Goddess Self will  give you the tools you need for excavation. You don't need to focus on major awakening overnight, but instead on constant, gradual enlightenment. Every great dig requires persistence, but it is well worth the efforts. You will begin to feel more magical, mystical & marvelous with every step. Allow yourself to experience the beauty that is truly you. Indulge yourself in your Self. You will find that you are even more amazing than you thought you could be.
