the
sun's yellow face
spills
through green leaves
as
all the soaked things steam.
Carbon
colored trunks
like
Eucalyptus trees, slick
pebbles,
wet lush
summer
grasses, silken
mud,
exhale steam breath.
Black
pavement,
shiny
patent leather,
reflect
white fences, while
small
children splash,
shattering
puddle mirrors.
The
life energy from each tree
swirls
around in a cloud‑‑
ghost‑spirit
dancing.
I
inhale life forces
spinning
wet in morning air
and
breathe in the trees.
