When I was younger, I use to run around claiming things,
saying "Mine, mine, mine..." My parents were horrified.
What a selfish child! So...I was told to share the things I had
claimed.
I
still think sharing is a valuable lesson. But now...years later I
realize how valuable that gift of claiming is. When you claim something,
you are giving yourself permission to own it, before it is in your grasp.
No
matter what you want, you won't go after it until you own it in your heart,
in your mind, and in your body. Own it with that feeling deep down
that it can be yours. That feeling in your gut that just
"knows" you'll have it.
I've
never accomplished anything I didn't claim as "Mine". Whether
it was the house, the man I fell in love with, or the work I am so passionate
about. I claimed each of these things in my life, before they "materialized",
before they were available to me. I claimed that I would achieve them,
somehow, someway, beyond a shadow of a doubt they would be mine.
So,
what are you claiming today? What will you own to be yours in life?
Go on!...Claim it!...I dare you!
