Camilla
Oleifera (Green Tea)
by Sandra
Margulius
I
bathe in botanical blossoms,
eight perfumed oils,
spearmint, hibiscus, aloe,
and sea salt.
The
back of my head rests
against slippery pink
porcelain. Dippity-Doo-like
shampoo slick-drips
down my back.
I breathe in Camilla Oleifera--
steamy aromas from Indonesia--
foreign, fragrant, bitter-sweet
tea green scents of yellow
jasmine petals. Taking
a
bath in green tea.
steeped in celery
swirls of eucalyptus--
arms, legs, sunken
navel encircled in white
foam, I nearly taste
the bitter leaves want
to add honey, sugar,
cream.

9 planets dancing and a squirrel
some cup cakes scattered across a hope filled universe
of course free sunshine
and a tree that knows your name
