like a madwoman, I began the vision of Feronia Retreat Center in
September of 2008. So much energy and so many ideas were pouring
through me, I could scarcely keep up. It has since evolved in many
directions, one branch of which is this publication. I saw the need
for touching as many people and communities as possible with the
energy of green business and holistic wellness. What started off as
just a retreat center to offer an escape from the daily grind,
became so much more than I could have imagined.
My initial
research brought together healing equipment and products of all
kinds (including some designed by me personally) to bring balance to
the body, emotions, mind, spirit & life. I wanted to create a
truly holistic facility, the kind I would have loved when I began my
journey to wholeness 15 years ago. A space for classes &
lectures, a library of resources and everything you could possible
need to heal naturally and healthfully.
The concept of the
wellness center & spa sparked so much interest, but many people
expressed an inability to make the journey all the way to the
Midwest to make use of the services & products I was offering.
So, I laid out the plans to start the Feronia franchise opportunity,
making it not only easy to pursue better health, but very convenient
as well. Franchise owners will have the benefit of earning a decent
living, running a low maintenance business, while helping people
find true health & happiness. Just a win-win-win and keep
winning situation all around. My first wellness center is currently
scheduled to open in June in Cedarburg, WI.
The retreat center
is designed to host not only the equipment that you will find at
each franchise, but a great deal more, including spa baths, saunas
& gym areas, offering guests a true trip
to total wellness. But still there was something missing. People
traveling from all over the country would want to be able to eat
healthfully to facilitate their healing process & perhaps buy healthy
& eco-friendly products to further their own wellness journey or
to take home to family & friends. So, I contacted a developer
about building a holistic/green plaza on the land where I had been
planning to host the retreat, bringing together a wide variety of
businesses that would feed into the same goal - healthy people,
healthy business, healthy planet. The plans are now beginning to
take form for this vision as well. Real estate developers are working
to bring this into reality in downtown Grafton, WI. It is
something very exciting to me to feel the energy of the green
movement beating in the heart of Grafton. The transformation is exhilarating
and I would like to invite you to be a part of it in
